John K. Toedtman, Professional Pianist and Piano Teacher
A Graduate of the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music with both Bachelor and Master Degrees in Piano Performance, he studied one year with concert pianist Karl Engel in Hanover, Germany (Fluent in German). Prior to that, there were two years of law study at the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s Degree with honors from the University of William and Mary. There was also private study with Audry Wasson in Dayton, Ohio and Madam Olga Conus in Cincinnati.
Mr. Toedtman continues to be an adjudicator, as he has been for 25 years, for the National Guild of Piano Teachers, The Federated Music Club, The American Music Scholarship Association, The Wasson Piano Studies, and the Ohio Music Teachers Association. His students have won numerous competitions.
Mr. Toedtman is also a frequent contributor of classical music reviews for the Cincinnati Enquirer.
